This EP originally came out as part of the Deathbomb Arc 2011 Digital Singles Club. Here's the text that came with it:
"Hello Deathbomb Digital Singles Club members!
Well, last week I promised that I would make up for there being just
one track sent out. I didn't realize just how soon that would happen
though! Yesterday Jason Forrest sent me his songs for the club and he
had not two but FOUR. He politely asked if it was cool to do an ep
instead of a single. I figured this was only a good thing, so here we
are! Deathbomb Digital Singles Club has the honor of sharing with you
a brand new ep from Jason Forrest called 'Utopia'!!! Working more
like one piece in four movements, this ep begins with a track called
"Ciccone Youth" that defies categorization in a way that Deathbomb
strives for. Moving in epic strides that would make Godspeed You Black
Emperor blush, Jason (aka DJ Donna Summer) puts his breakcore
expertise to use without being showy. Rather, the complex percussion
adds a texture to the song that lifts it up in the way electronic
music is supposed to: into a world of surreal, inhuman perfection.
Despite the incredible delicacy of this track, I imagine that Jason is
still the worlds greatest showman when it comes to rocking the live
setting. If you have the chance to see him (rumors of a US tour in
2011), don't miss out. You WILL sweat."
